Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa offers “heritage and luxury combine[d] to create a quintessential home away from home”. Dating from the 1720’s, this luxury hotel and spa sits on the fringes of the Cotswolds in Wiltshire and attracts guests from across the globe.
Guest experience is of the upmost importance to the staff of Lucknam Park, and the top class facilities reflect this, from the warming fireplace as you enter the lobby, the friendly staff, and the history of the building, through to the immaculate guest rooms and world class restaurant.
Yet in such a traditional setting, guests still expect modern amenities such as dependable Wi-Fi and access to device charging outlets. So, in 2018 the hotel embarked on a tech upgrade to the facilities at Lucknam Park to ensure they were exceeding these guest expectations.
In addition to upgraded Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, Lucknam Park purchased OE Electrics PLUTO units to be placed throughout the hotel in public-use spaces such as the lobby, drawing room and library, and also in the guest rooms.

With guests from North America making up a large percentage of the clientele, the decision was made to specify a USA socket alongside the UK socket and USB outlets in each unit, allowing US guests to charge their phones and laptops without the need for a temperamental international convertor.
An important consideration in the upgrade was that the modern charging solutions must compliment the classic look of Lucknam Park. Working with the OE team, the Lucknam Park team chose a wood-grain effect from our range of speciality finishes for the PLUTO units, and added the Lucknam Park “LP” logo to each.
The result is a product that offers guests the latest technology to charge their devices during their stay at the hotel, while seamlessly integrating with the traditional design aesthetic of the hotel.
